Over the past three months I have been working with Boomers for Fitness. The president, Adriana Christopoulos, has introduced me to the experience of an exercise program that is specifically designed for a person of my age, 69, to maintain and improve myself physically and the outcome has been positive. Adriana is an enjoyable and lovely person to work with. She has made time to guide me, encourage me and make sure that the trainer she assigned to me is appropriate. She continues to check in with me about how training sessions are going and accommodates any changes that may be necessary. This includes appointment changes and changes in the design of the program I am working on at the time. The past few months have been a time of learning about myself and my program and it is due to the fact that Adriana is knowledgeable and professional, along with being a delightful person to be with. Adriana Christopoulos has been my personal trainer since June 2003. I have had psoriatic arthritis for 25 years and have had to date ten surgeries due to this autoimmune disease. In the past, I have not found it possible to work with a trainer due to lack of understanding on the part of trainers as to what type of training would be appropriate for someone with my compromised physical abilities. In contrast, I have found Adriana to be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of personal training with a particular knowledge of how to train persons with physical limitations. In addition to her knowledge, Adriana shows great understanding of the psychological component of dealing with limitations. She is empathetic, energetic, flexible and dedicated to her profession and goes the extra mile to ensure that I get the most benefits possible from personal training, I feel confident in saying that I have greatly benefited from working with her. – L.W.
I know the importance of exercise in promoting our health and well being but I just couldn’t seem to motivate myself and when my doctor told me I had osteopenia and that I should be lifting weights I was referred to Adriana Christopoulos. I am 60 years old and have been training with Adriana for seven years. We train together twice a week and our Program changes over time depending on what we are working towards. I feel great, my bone density has improved and I have lost weight and regained a more youthful figure. Adriana is a remarkable, knowledgeable Trainer. She is flexible, has a great sense of humour and above all knows her profession. She will help you with everything from learning to jog to weight training and aerobics at home. I like to exercise but I’m not the most disciplined person. I need someone to help motivate me so that I stick with an exercise program. Adriana does that very well. She has developed a number of different combination cardio and weight training programs for me over the past year, changing my routine every six weeks to add variety and interest to my workout. Adriana comes to my condominium one morning a week and we spend an hour together in the exercise room going through the program. In between her visits, I am expected to do the program at least once on my own (I also get additional exercise walking my golden retriever three times a day). Adriana is a very capable in-home certified personal trainer. Thanks to her assistance, I am stronger, fitter and happier with my physique in general. On a beautiful December morning on the eve of my 50th year, I stood on the top of Diamond Head in Hawaii and marveled that I had climbed so high, in the scorching sun and barely broken a sweat. The island and ocean spread out in front of me and my first thoughts were to call Adriana and tell her of my accomplishment. Before I met Adriana, exercise was about “winning and losing”. I have worked with Adriana for five years. I don’t like to exercise, so her conveniently coming to my house brings the discipline I need to make sure I do it. I have toned up and lost weight. Most importantly when I started, I was on blood pressure medication which I am now off because of exercise and a healthy diet advocated by Adriana. She is also nice. -P.F.

Adriana is amazing; her way with people with special training needs is wonderful. She has taken me from no exercise to a person who works out 3 times a week and likes it. I suffer from osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and have had extensive orthopedic surgery. Until I began working with Adriana I was dependent on pain medication through the day and especially at night. I now very rarely need pain medication except of an occasional pill for a muscle ache or headache. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a trainer. -S.C.
I have been working out with Adriana since February 2011 and I can honestly say that calling Adriana was probably the single best thing that I have ever done for myself. I was going through an extremely stressful time and decided that in order to get through each day I should start to exercise. Adriana has many amazing qualities; she is a tough trainer, a perfectionist and a great motivator. I look forward to our sessions together and the time flies by. The sessions are always fun and never boring. Adriana has the ability to make me work harder then I ever thought possible. After 6 months of training with Adriana I have lost over 50 pounds, am fitter than I have been in years and have a new confidence and strength that I am enjoying every day. Approaching our late 30’s, my wife and I realized we were becoming unfit. Although we tried to work out regularly we simply didn’t keep the consistency or intensity to achieve our goals. Adriana was referred to us by our doctor and has now been our trainer for 4 years. Both my wife and I have lost pounds, toned up and feel more energetic.
